Introducing Baby Pax!

It was such a special treat getting to photograph baby Pax. At just 2 weeks old, he was so little I could put him in my pocket. I probably would have tried except I don't think his parents would have liked that very much. What can I say? He's just so sweet, I wanted to take him with me!

Hey There Delilah

What's more precious than a baby girl named Delilah?? I fell in love with her little toes and nose almost as fast as I fell in love with her name. Although the shoot didn't go without challenges... but hey, what 3 week-old isn't somewhat challenging? Of course, getting to rock her to sleep was a wonderful treat ...

Sonya in the City

A little sneak peek at a maternity shoot with Sonya & Jeff during a beautiful 75 degree day in the city! We had so much fun, I can't wait to take photos of their baby boy once he is born!!

Chris & Kelley - A Vintage Affaire

What's more fun than photographing two incredibly photogenic and non-camera shy people?? Well, you might have a different answer for that, but for me, this is photographer heaven! It probably also helps that Kelley & her friend run a boudoir photography business... she's had some practice with a camera and it shows! Not to mention that these two couldn't be more in love and excited to be together! It's the perfect photo recipe!! Anyway, enough rambling...I'll just let the photos speak for themselves.

My first blog!

Well, I'm taking the plunge and am starting my first blog. So exciting! Ok, kind of. Maybe just for me...

Since it's my first post, I suppose I'll write a little about my life at the moment. I'm living in downtown Walnut Creek with my wonderful new hubby of 5 months. I got him to move here from Modesto and he is working as a chiropractor just down the street. (Bachmeyer Family Chiropractic Center.. in case anyone was wondering.)

I'm working as a portfolio manager of retail shopping centers and am spending most of my free time photographing anything and anyone that will pose for me (and sometimes not, I'm sneaky). My dream is to become a full-time freelance photographer and my blog will probably mostly talk of the struggles I will endure while trying to become a [starving] artist in this colorful world of ours.

Luckily, I like photographing people - so at least I wont be spending my free time hidden in a bush trying to capture the wings of a rare bird as he shouts out his mating call. OK, i just watched Planet Earth. Amazing stuff, but I cant begin to imagine what those photographers & videographers went through to capture those moments. I think I'll stick to taming wild 4 year olds and making goofy faces at infants to get them to laugh.

I'll be posting photos soon - so stick around for all the photos that capture the moments I live for.
